Position Overview:
Copper Point Resort is opening a new retail store and café in the resort lobby and is seeking an entrepreneurial and guest-focused leader to assist with its launch and ongoing operations. The F&B Supervisor will be responsible for all aspects of the business, including café operations, team leadership, inventory management, and guest experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Guest Experience
- Deliver exceptional guest service through friendly, professional, and attentive interactions.
- Create a welcoming environment that encourages guests to explore both the café and retail offerings.
- Respond promptly and effectively to guest inquiries, feedback, and concerns.
- Develop a culture of hospitality and service excellence among team members.
- Anticipate guest needs and ensure a consistently positive experience.
Café Operations
- Oversee all daily café operations, ensuring efficient service and high-quality product presentation.
- Collaborate with Food & Beverage leadership on menu development, product selection, and operational standards.
- Monitor product freshness, quality, and consistency.
- Ensure food and beverage presentation meets established brand and quality standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the café and retail spaces.
Leadership & Team Development
- Train, schedule, supervise, and support a team of Baristas.
- Provide ongoing coaching, performance feedback, and development opportunities.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and collaborative team culture.
- Lead by example through active participation in daily operations.
Financial & Administrative Management
- Manage inventory levels and control costs to support profitability.
- Oversee cash handling procedures, daily reconciliations, and reporting.
Health, Safety & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate records and required operational documentation.
- Ensure all team members are trained in applicable safety and operational procedures.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience
- Minimum 2-3 years of leadership experience in retail, hospitality, café, food service, or related customer-focused environment.
- Previous retail management experience is preferred.
- Previous café or barista experience is considered a strong asset.
- Demonstrated leadership leading and developing teams.
- Post-secondary education in hospitality or management is an asset.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Exceptional customer service and relationship-building skills.
- Strong leadership, coaching, and team development abilities.
- Strong business acumen with an understanding of inventory management, merchandising, and sales performance.
- Excellent organizational, time-management, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to multitask and perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and safe work practices.
- Proficiency with point-of-sale systems and basic computer applications.
