Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Concrete Finisher to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in concrete finishing, masonry, and related construction skills. This role involves working on various projects including commercial, residential, and restoration sites, ensuring high-quality finishes and adherence to safety standards. Duties
- Finish concrete surfaces using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to achieve smooth, level, and durable finishes
- Install rebar and formwork according to blueprints and schematics to prepare for concrete pouring
- Operate heavy equipment safely for lifting and positioning materials
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to execute project specifications accurately
- Perform masonry work, including caulking, flooring installation, and restoration tasks as needed
- Assist with concrete pouring, curing, and finishing processes on various structures
- Use carpentry skills for form building and adjustments during projects
- Conduct welding or other metalwork tasks related to reinforcement or structural support when required
- Maintain a clean work environment by properly handling hand tools, power tools, and materials
- Collaborate with team members to ensure project deadlines are met while maintaining safety standards
Requirements
- Proven experience in concrete finishing, rebar installation, masonry, or related construction fields
- Mechanical knowledge of heavy equipment operation and power tools
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately
- Strong knowledge of concrete forming techniques and restoration processes
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and flooring installation techniques
- Physical ability for heavy lifting and working in various outdoor or indoor environments
- Experience with caulking, renovation projects, flooring installation, and general construction practices is preferred
- Knowledge of schematics and blueprint reading is essential for precise execution of tasks
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team with a focus on safety and quality standards
