Join our dynamic construction team as an Apprentice Carpenter and kick-start your career in the skilled trades! Responsibilities
- Assist senior carpenters with measuring, cutting, and assembling wood and other materials using hand tools and power tools
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to ensure accurate project execution
- Support concrete forming and finishing tasks to create durable structures
- Help with siding installation, framing, and restoration projects to improve building integrity and appearance
- Operate heavy equipment and machinery safely under supervision for tasks such as lifting heavy materials or concrete placement
- Maintain a clean worksite by organizing tools, disposing of debris, and adhering to safety protocols
- Participate in training sessions on welding, woodworking techniques, and the safe use of construction equipment
Qualifications
- Enthusiastic about learning carpentry skills and eager to develop a professional trade
- Basic understanding of construction concepts or previous experience preferred but not required
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work effectively in physically demanding environments
- Comfortable using hand tools, power tools, and basic woodworking equipment
- Strong attention to detail with good reading comprehension for schematics and blueprints
- Willingness to follow safety guidelines rigorously at all times
- Valid driver’s license or reliable transportation is a plus but not mandatory
