Position Details
- Position: Registered Kinesiologist (BCAK/CKA)

- Employment Type: Independent Contractor

Core Responsibilities
- Conduct evidence-informed functional assessments, movement evaluations, and exercise-based rehabilitation planning
- Develop individualized rehabilitation, mobility, conditioning, and injury-prevention programs appropriate to patient goals and presentation
- Deliver patient-centred care within professional scope and regulatory standards
- Maintain accurate, timely, and legally appropriate clinical documentation
- Obtain and document informed consent where applicable
- Educate patients regarding exercise progression, movement quality, ergonomics, recovery strategies, and long-term health optimization
- Communicate professionally and collaborate appropriately with physiotherapists, chiropractors, massage therapists, acupuncturists, counsellors, and other healthcare practitioners when clinically beneficial
- Maintain a clean, organized, respectful, and professional treatment environment
- Uphold confidentiality, ethical standards, and professional conduct at all times
- Participate in maintaining a positive clinic culture and patient experience consistent with Near Me Therapy values
Qualifications
- Registered and in good standing with the British Columbia Association of Kinesiologists (BCAK) and/or Canadian Kinesiology Alliance (CKA)
- Active professional liability insurance
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
- Professional, reliable, and patient-focused approach to care
- Ability to work independently while functioning effectively within a collaborative healthcare environment
- Experience with rehabilitation, exercise therapy, ICBC, WorkSafeBC, chronic pain, post-surgical rehabilitation, athletic performance, or functional movement systems is considered an asset
