Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Electrical Apprentice (1st Year or Entry Level) to join our dynamic team. Duties
- Assist licensed electricians with installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in commercial and industrial settings
- Use hand tools and power tools to perform tasks such as cutting, stripping, and connecting wires
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams to support project execution
- Work with low voltage systems and assist with wiring of control panels and circuitry
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols and procedures
- Support the setup of construction sites by organizing materials and equipment as needed
- Learn to identify electrical components, troubleshoot basic issues, and follow detailed instructions from senior electricians
Experience
- No prior professional experience required; entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply
- Industrial electrician experience or construction experience is a plus but not mandatory
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, schematics, blueprint reading, low voltage wiring, and construction environments is advantageous
- Candidates should demonstrate a strong willingness to learn new skills and develop technical knowledge in electrical systems
- Prior experience working with blueprints or schematics is beneficial but not essential; training will be provided for all necessary skills
Requirements
- Registered Electrical Apprentice in Ontario or willing to register.
- Valid G driver's licence.
- Must own or have reliable access to a personal vehicle.
- Must be willing and able to travel to various job sites, which may be located 200–300 km from the company's base location.
- Candidates are responsible for arranging and paying for their own transportation to and from assigned work locations unless otherwise agreed by the employer.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work at heights when required.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn.
