Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated Roofer Helper to assist experienced roofing professionals in the installation, repair, and maintenance of roofing systems. Responsibilities
- Assist roofers with the installation and repair of various roofing materials
- Prepare job sites by setting up ladders, scaffolding, and safety equipment
- Carry and organize hand tools and materials needed for roofing projects
- Support in measuring and cutting materials according to project specifications
- Perform heavy lifting of roofing materials, equipment, and debris removal
- Follow safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment at all times
- Assist with caulking, sealing, and waterproofing tasks as directed
- Read basic blueprints or project plans to understand job requirements
- Support carpentry tasks related to roof framing or structural repairs when needed
Skills
- Proficiency with hand tools commonly used in construction and roofing
- Basic knowledge of construction principles and carpentry techniques
- Experience or familiarity with blueprint reading is a plus
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Strong work ethic with attention to detail and safety procedures
- Handyman experience or related skills are advantageous
- Good physical stamina and ability to work at heights on ladders or scaffolding
- Willingness to learn new skills and follow instructions diligently
Pay: $20.97-$42.42 per hour
