We are looking for an experienced Restoration Lead Hand / Restoration Trainer who can help us build a great team, train staff properly, maintain high standards, and lead from the front.
This is not a position for someone who wants to stand around and point fingers. We are looking for someone who is willing to get dirty when needed, train by example, help solve problems, and take pride in doing things right.
Reporting Structure
You will be working directly under our Chief Operating Officer (COO), on a daily basis.
Our COO will be your direct supervisor and mentor. You will work alongside him helping build procedures, training programs, quality standards, estimating systems, emergency response procedures, and restoration operations.
This position is ideal for someone who wants to grow into a larger leadership role while learning directly from senior management and helping build a company the right way from the beginning.

About the Role
You will be responsible for leading restoration crews while working directly with Operations and management.
Responsibilities include:
Leading restoration projects
Training restoration technicians
Assisting with estimating and scope creation
Performing site inspections
Assisting with project management
Developing training systems and procedures
Ensuring Alberta OHS compliance
Conducting quality control inspections
Helping build a strong team culture
Responding to emergency restoration calls
Assisting with hiring and evaluating technicians when required
This is a working leadership position. You will be expected to lead from the front and assist crews in the field when needed.

Restoration Experience Required
Applicants must have extensive experience in:
Water damage restoration
Sewer backup cleanup
Category 2 and Category 3 water losses
Structural drying
Mold remediation
Demolition and contents handling
Odour removal
Moisture mapping
Equipment setup and monitoring
Commercial restoration projects
Residential restoration projects
Customer communication and education

Minimum Qualifications
Experience
Minimum 5 years restoration experience required
10+ years strongly preferred
Previous Lead Hand, Supervisor, Project Manager, or Senior Technician experience preferred
Experience training and mentoring staff
Experience creating estimates and scopes of work

Applicants should possess applicable restoration certifications, including:
IICRC Water Damage Restoration (WRT)
Applied Structural Drying (ASD) preferred
Applied Microbial Remediation Technician (AMRT) preferred
Mold Remediation Certifications
WHMIS
Standard First Aid
Fall Protection
Additional restoration certifications considered an asset
If certifications have recently expired but you possess the experience and qualifications required for the role, Restoration Restore may assist with renewal costs for the successful candidate.
However, all required certifications must be renewed and active before employment begins.
