We are seeking a friendly and efficient Server to join our dynamic restaurant team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional guest service, ensure food safety and sanitation standards are maintained, and contribute to a welcoming dining experience. This role involves taking orders, serving food and beverages, handling transactions, and supporting overall restaurant operations. Previous restaurant or food industry experience is preferred, along with strong communication skills and a passion for hospitality.
Petalo is Calgary's newest Italian restaurant, featuring fresh, light, vibrant, modern cuisine with Mediterranean and European influence. We are building a dynamic team to lead our front of house. All shifts available. Open Tuesday-Saturday.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive customer service throughout their dining experience
- Record reservations and guest arrivals in Open Table
- Take accurate food and beverage orders
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining presentation standards
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cashiering and cash handling duties
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
- Ensure proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures are followed at all times
- Manage time effectively to serve multiple tables efficiently during busy periods
- Maintain cleanliness of service areas, tables, and dining spaces
- Address guest inquiries or concerns promptly to ensure a positive experience
Qualifications
- Previous serving experience
- Valid ProServe
- Fluent in English
- Bartending experience a plus
Pay: $15.00 per hour
