STUDENT EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY:
AIRPORT GRASS CUTTING – TEMPORARY, FULL TIME (SUMMER SEASON)
The Pitt Meadows Airport Society (PMAS) is seeking an enthusiastic student to join its staff as an Airport Landscaping Laborer.
The Pitt Meadows Airport Society has qualified to participate in the summer student work grant program.
We are looking for an eager student to come and maintain the grass at the airport.
Wage: $20 per hour
Key Responsibilities and Essential Duties:
- Provide maintenance services for airport grounds, including grass cutting, landscaping, general clean up, painting, sweeping of paved areas, etc.
Key Qualifications:
- be between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of the employment
- be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act for the duration of the employment
- have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment and be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations
- ability to operate light equipment. (lawn mowers, weed eaters etc.)
- ability to work in controlled areas nearby aircraft.
- ability to plan, organize, and prioritize work flow.
- ability to work at least a 7-hour shift
- fluent in English.
Job Type: Temporary
Contract length: 2 months
Pay: $20.00 per hour
Experience:
- landscaping: 1 year (preferred)
