Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our dynamic culinary team. This role is essential in ensuring the efficient preparation and presentation of high-quality dishes that meet our restaurant’s standards. Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients and assemble dishes according to recipes and restaurant standards
- Assist with food preparation, including chopping, slicing, marinating, and portioning ingredients
- Cook menu items with attention to quality, presentation, and timely service
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering to food safety protocols
- Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure safety and hygiene standards are met
- Support the kitchen team during busy hours to ensure smooth operations
- Restock supplies and ingredients as needed to ensure efficient workflow
- Assist with meal preparation for special events or catering as required
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or kitchen environment preferred but not required; training will be provided
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and food safety standards
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong understanding of food handling procedures and sanitation practices
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
- Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings and weekends as needed
- Passion for culinary arts and a desire to learn new skills within the food industry
Pay: $17.85-$25.09 per hour
