Outdoor Maintenance Associate and Painter

Reports To: General Manager
Position Summary
The Outdoor Maintenance and Painter is responsible for maintaining the appearance, cleanliness, safety, and functionality of the resort's exterior grounds, landscaped areas, buildings, and outdoor amenities. This position performs a variety of duties including groundskeeping, gardening, painting, general labour, and seasonal property maintenance to ensure a safe and welcoming environment for owners, guests, and team members.

Key Responsibilities
Grounds and Property Maintenance:
- Maintain resort grounds, walkways, parking lots, and outdoor recreational areas.
- Perform litter collection, debris removal, pressure washing, and general outdoor housekeeping.
- Assist with the setup, relocation, and storage of outdoor furniture, signage, and equipment.
- Identify and report safety hazards, maintenance deficiencies, and property damage.
- Cleaning and Maintenance of resort BBQs.
Gardening and Landscaping:
- Plant, water, weed, prune, and maintain flower beds, gardens, shrubs, and landscaped areas.
- Apply mulch, fertilizer, and soil amendments as directed.
- Monitor plant health and assist with seasonal planting programs.
- Operate and maintain irrigation equipment and watering systems.
- Assist with landscape enhancement projects throughout the property.
Painting and Surface Maintenance:
- Prepare surfaces for painting through cleaning, sanding, scraping, patching, and priming.
- Paint and stain exterior and interior surfaces including buildings, fences, railings, benches, and resort amenities.
- Maintain painting equipment and ensure proper storage of paints and related materials.
- Complete minor drywall and surface repairs as required.

Qualifications & Skills
- Previous experience in groundskeeping, landscaping, painting, construction, or property maintenance preferred.
- Ability to safely operate landscaping and maintenance equipment.
- Basic knowledge of painting techniques, gardening practices, and general maintenance procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid Ontario Driver's License considered an asset.
Working Conditions
- Primarily outdoor work with some indoor maintenance activities.
- Exposure to varying weather conditions, landscaping materials, paints, cleaning products, and maintenance equipment.
- Weekend, holiday, and overtime work may be required based on operational needs.
Pay: From $19.50 per hour
