The Warehouse Material Handler is responsible for the safe and efficient handling, movement, loading, and unloading of materials using forklifts and other material handling equipment. This role supports the delivery of high-quality service to clients while ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Load and Offload Trucks
- Safely load, unload, and move materials using forklifts and other equipment
- Complete material pick tickets and maintain accurate records
- Organize and maintain warehouse and yard areas
- Inspect, tag, and secure materials to prevent damage during handling and transport
- Support inventory control and efficient material flow
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental standards
- Communicate effectively with team members and customers
- Assist with training new staff and supporting continuous improvement initiatives
- Ad hoc duties as required
Minimum Qualifications
- Valid driver's license
- High school education or equivalent
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Previous warehouse experience preferred
- Forklift certification and demonstrated competency

- WHMIS certification

- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities

Desirable Qualifications/Competencies
- Knowledge of HSEQ standards
- Familiarity with company operating procedures
- Basic understanding of purchasing and procurement processes
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
