Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Wok Specialist / Cook to join our dynamic culinary team. Duties
- Prepare and cook a diverse range of wok-based dishes, ensuring authentic flavors and presentation standards are met
- Follow established recipes, menu specifications, and portion controls to maintain consistency and quality
- Handle food preparation tasks including chopping, slicing, marinating, and assembling ingredients efficiently
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the wok station and kitchen area in compliance with food safety regulations
- Assist in menu planning by suggesting new dishes or modifications based on seasonal ingredients or customer feedback
- Ensure proper food handling, storage, and sanitation practices are followed at all times
- Support catering events or special functions by preparing large quantities of wok dishes with precision and speed
Skills
- Proven experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is highly desirable
- Strong background in food preparation, cooking techniques, and food service operations within restaurant or culinary settings
- Expertise in wok cooking methods, knife skills, and meal preparation for diverse cuisines
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Experience with menu planning, catering, and fine dining environments is a plus
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently in a busy kitchen setting
