Polyethics Industries is looking for highly motivated Manufacturing Associates.
Major Responsibilities
- Assist Machine Operator with operating bag machine lines to customer specifications;
- Assist Machine Operator with quality verification to ensure products meet customer specifications;
- Assist maintaining the bag machines by helping perform daily safety checks & reporting maintenance to Machine Operator;
- Assist Machine Operator when performing roll changes;
- Assist with machine audits to look for any damage, quality concerns and safety concerns;
- Assist with ensuring the highest quality standards are maintained;
- Learn and have a basic understanding of folds and equipment adjustments;
- Ability to learn machine processes and flow of products;
- Assist with producing accurate, concise, timely and legible information and record keeping for the production log;
- Label/stamp boxes, prep boxes, place finished roll product into boxes, glue boxes shut and place on the pallets. May be responsible for using pump truck to bring pallet to the wrapping machine and wrap skid.
- Leave machine & surrounding area well maintained and cleaned to ensure a safe, clean and organized work environment;
- Work in a manner that does not jeopardize safety for you or any other team member;
- Other related duties as required.
Additional Duties and Responsibilities
- Ability to work in a labor demanding environment: stand for up to three (3) hours at a time, lift up to 50lbs and guide up to 700 lb film rolls onto a lift cart and onto the bag machines;
- Work in a manner that does not jeopardize safety for you or any other team member; adheres to company policy;
- Well organized, with a good attention to detail and accuracy with sound communication skills;
- Other related duties as assigned.
Education and/or Experience
- A minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience;
- Experience with the coordination of daily plant operations is an asset;
- Well organized, strong attention to detail and accuracy with solid customer service;
- Outspoken, honest and ambitious drive to see work through, Capacity to effectively communicate, and provide direction to others;
- Ability to multi-task and perform well under pressure;
- Good attendance;
- Continental Shifts; Straight Nights; 7pm-7am & Continental Shifts; Straight Days; 7am-7pm;
- Compensation: $19.00/hour to$21.00/hour with $0.65/hour Night Shift Premium.
