We are seeking experienced Registered Nurses for contract placements in busy Emergency Departments across Nova Scotia hospital communities and health centers. Compensation & Travel & Perks:
$107.00/hr (Incorporated)
$101.62/hr (Sole Proprietor)
$90.20/hr (Employee / EoA)
Mileage reimbursement plus fully covered private accommodation.
Car Rental: 100% reimbursed for all contract days (including days not worked).
Extended Travel Allowance: Additional round-trip travel covered up to $900 for contracts over 90 days (or extensions).
$1,000 Referral Bonus: Earned upon completion of your referred nurse’s first shift.
Role Overview:
- As an Emergency Travel RN, you will function as a vital clinical lead in high-volume, dynamic ED settings:
- Delivering high-quality, patient-centered emergency care.
- Conducting rapid patient triage/assessments and initiating clinical stabilization protocols.
- Monitoring, evaluating, and intervening in complex, rapidly evolving patient conditions.
- Providing compassionate support and clear communication to patients and their families.
- Collaborating seamlessly with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe, coordinated care.
Upholding accurate EMR documentation standards and complying with all provincial and facility regulatory protocols.

Requirements:
Licensure: Active RN license in good standing with the Nova Scotia College of Nursing (NSCN).
Clinical Experience: Proven clinical experience in an Emergency Department (ICU experience is also valued).
Core Competencies: Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and confidence in high-pressure, unpredictable environments.
Certifications: Current CPR/BLS required. ACLS, CTAS, TNCC, and PALS are considered strong assets.
Clearances & Health Records:
Proof of COVID-19 vaccinations (x2), MMR, DTap, Hep B (or positive titres), and 2-step TB test.
Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screen (completed within 6 months of application).
