About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Field Service Manager for our Electrical Services Group to lead the coordination and execution of electrical testing, maintenance, and field service activities across British Columbia.
Reporting to the General Manager, Operations, this role is focused on efficient field execution, workforce coordination, and service delivery quality across a broad range of electrical services (excluding specialized protection & control work). The successful candidate is a strong operational leader with a background in field service execution and team supervision.
Responsibilities:
Field Operations Execution

Oversee daily delivery of acceptance testing, maintenance, troubleshooting, and inspection services

Coordinate technician schedules, dispatch, and site assignments

Ensure work is completed efficiently, safely, and in accordance with company standards

Monitor field productivity, utilization, and job completion progress
Workforce Coordination

Lead assigned teams of electrical technicians, testing personnel, and field leads

Manage day-to-day staffing alignment to meet project and service demands
-
Provide direction and support to field teams to maintain consistent execution quality

Assist with onboarding and field readiness of new hires
Service Quality & Consistency

Ensure consistency in testing procedures, documentation, and reporting quality

Review job packages and field reports for completeness and compliance

Reinforce standardized work practices across job sites

Address field execution issues and implement corrective actions
Safety & Compliance

Promote a strong safety culture aligned with WorkSafeBC regulations and company policies

Ensure adherence to:

Canadian Electrical Code (CEC)

CSA standards
-
Support toolbox talks, site safety checks, and incident response activities

Ensure compliance with provincial employment standards as related to field staff
Customer Service & Field Support

Support client interactions related to field service delivery

Address service issues, jobsite concerns, and schedule changes

Ensure customer expectations are met through reliable and professional service

Coordinate with internal teams to ensure seamless job execution
Scheduling & Resource Planning

Maintain short-term scheduling plans for field service work

Track active work orders, backlog, and technician availability

Identify scheduling conflicts or capacity gaps and escalate as needed

Coordinate with internal stakeholders to align field resources with workload
Qualifications:
Education & Experience
-
Diploma or degree in Electrical Technology, Engineering, or related field (preferred)

8+ years of experience in electrical field services or industrial maintenance

Experience supervising or coordinating field-based teams

Background in electrical testing, commissioning, or maintenance services
Technical Knowledge

Familiarity with:

Electrical testing and maintenance practices

Low, medium, and high-voltage systems

Working knowledge of:

CEC and CSA standards

Field service workflows and jobsite operations

Pay Range: CAD $170,000.00 - CAD $180,000.00 /Yr.
