Electrical Assembler
Canaweld Inc. is seeking a motivated and hard-working individual to join our growing team in Whitby, Ontario.
Job Responsibilities
- Review production packages, drawings, and bills of materials to ensure correct parts and specifications are used.
- Assemble and install electrical and mechanical components, including circuit breakers, contactors, relays, switches, and other control panel components.
- Perform drilling, tapping, and mechanical modifications of mounting plates and enclosures using appropriate tools and equipment.
- Wire electrical panels and equipment according to schematic drawings and wiring diagrams.
- Test and troubleshoot electrical assemblies and components to ensure proper operation.
- Conduct continuity, insulation, and functional tests of electrical assemblies and wire harnesses.
- Identify and report quality issues and assist in resolving assembly-related problems.
- Complete assigned work within established production schedules and delivery timelines.
- Comply with all company safety policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Qualifications
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and assembly drawings.
- Experience in electrical assembly, panel wiring, or electrical/mechanical manufacturing.
- Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to assist with other production tasks as required to support company objectives.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD is considered an asset.
- English language proficiency is not required.
