Beacon Hall Golf Club is seeking a reliable, hardworking, and service-oriented Seasonal Handyman to join our Facilities team. This position plays an important role in maintaining the high standards our members and guests expect. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, is adaptable, and enjoys working in a team-oriented environment.
Position Summary
The Seasonal Handyman is responsible for assisting with the maintenance, repair, and presentation of the clubhouse and surrounding facilities. This hands-on role requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a willingness to support various operational needs throughout the golf season.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform general building maintenance and repairs.
- Complete interior and exterior painting projects.
- Carry out basic plumbing repairs and maintenance.
- Repair drywall and complete patching and finishing work.
- Assist with tournament and special event setup and teardown.
- Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of maintenance areas and club facilities.
- Move furniture, equipment, and supplies as required.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from various departments.
- Support preventative maintenance programs.
- Perform additional duties as required to support the operation and maintain the Club's high standards.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in general maintenance, building operations, or a related trade.
- Working knowledge of painting, drywall repair, and basic plumbing.
- Ability to safely operate hand and power tools.
- Physically capable of lifting, carrying, climbing ladders, and performing manual labour.
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment.
- Flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and occasional evenings during the golf season.
