Heritage Dental® in Chatham-Kent is growing. We are currently hiring a Full-Time enthusiastic and energetic dental assistant to join our team of professionals at our clinic.
*Shifts vary, Monday - Friday, 8:30AM-4:00PM, Wednesday until 7:30PM and occasional Saturday 8:30AM-1:00PM*

Duties:
- Understands and adheres to Radiographic Quality Assurance Controls, Infection Control, WHMIS and all other applicable laws and regulations to provide a safe environment for patients and staff. Regularly monitors applicable journals and articles recommending updates to Heritage Dental® systems as appropriate.
- Ensures all clinical and storage areas are clean, neat and free from clutter and prohibited/ unnecessary materials at all times.
- Ensures all treatment plans are entered into Akitu One cloud based software and presented appropriately to each patient.
- Monitors dental supply inventory on a weekly and monthly basis. Suggests effective action plans to maintain supplies costs within budget.
- Maintains patient relations through ongoing dialogue with patients before, during and after treatment. Identifies and responds to dissatisfied patients with the appropriate recovery action. Conducts care calls post treatment to ensure patient comfort, answer questions and resolve any concerns.
- Supports the clinical department by ensuring instruments and equipment are in working condition, sterile, disinfected and ready for use. Ensures that set-up of operatory is complete and ready for patient arrival.
- Is familiar or willing to learn the iTero 5D Plus CAD/CAM system intra-oral scanner and can digitally send digital impressions to our lab and communicate seamlessly with external treatment planning, custom implant abutment and chairside milling of crowns.
- Comfortable working with Registered Nurses and Medical anaesthetists in a private Operating Room setting.
- Cerec® Primemill and Cerec® SpeedFire same day crowns trained preferred
- CBCT trained for 3D radiology imaging preferred.

Qualifications:
- Completion of a PSW or RPN or Level I/II dental assisting preferred.
- Current registration with HARP is considered an asset, but not necessary.
- Dental experience preferred
- Experience with Akitu One cloud based software is considered an asset
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; written and verbal, an ability to make patients feel comfortable and at ease.
