Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Dental Receptionist to join our Dental Practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional front desk support, ensuring a welcoming environment for patients, and managing various administrative tasks. This role is crucial in maintaining the smooth operation of our dental office while delivering outstanding customer service.
Duties
- Greet patients warmly and assist them with check-in and check-out processes.
- Schedule appointments and manage the dental office calendar efficiently.
- Handle incoming calls on a multi-line phone system, addressing patient inquiries and concerns.
- Maintain accurate patient records using electronic dental records systems, ABELDent software.
- Process patient information and verify insurance eligibility.
- Assist with billing inquiries and payment processing as needed.
- Ensure the front desk area is organized and presentable at all times.
- Collaborate with dental staff to ensure seamless patient flow throughout the office.
Skills
- Proficiency in using electronic dental records systems, particularly ABELDent
- Strong understanding of Medical terminology related to dentistry.
- Previous experience ( Minimum 2 years ) as a dental receptionist / assistant or in a similar role within a Canadian Dental or Medical office setting is desired.
- Familiarity with administrative tasks and office procedures, including managing multi-line phone systems.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on customer service.
- Ability to multitask effectively while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
