Senior Director of Operations & Sales

Avalign Ltd is partnering with a growing retirement living operator to identify a Senior Director of Operations & Sales to lead and elevate a multi-site portfolio.
This is not a passive oversight role. This is a hands-on leadership position for someone who understands that operations drive experience and sales drive growth.
You will oversee approximately 7 retirement communities, leading Executive Directors and site teams to deliver strong occupancy, financial performance, and resident satisfaction.
Portfolio Leadership
- Oversee 7 retirement communities
- Lead, coach, and develop Executive Directors and leadership teams
- Build a culture of accountability, performance, and resident-first thinking
Operational Excellence
- Drive performance across occupancy, revenue, and cost management
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial oversight across the region
- Monitor KPIs and course-correct quickly where needed
- Ensure compliance, quality standards, and strong resident experience
Sales & Growth Mindset
- Lead and support community-level sales and leasing strategies
- Drive occupancy and revenue through proactive, hands-on leadership
- Align operations with sales to maximize retention and resident lifecycle value
- Position each community competitively within its local market
Strategic Impact
- Support acquisitions, due diligence, and integration of new communities
- Partner with leadership on capital improvements and growth strategy
- Strengthen brand presence and reputation across all locations
- 5+ years in senior leadership within retirement living
- Proven experience managing multiple locations or regions
- Strong financial acumen (budgets, forecasting, performance metrics)
- A sales-minded operator who understands occupancy is everything
- Experience leading, mentoring, and scaling high-performing teams
- Comfortable traveling regularly across sites
- Executive Director or General Manager background strongly preferred

- Deep experience using Yardi
