Yard location: Chatham, ON
Workday: Monday to Friday. Option to work Saturdays for extra hours.
No Statutory Holidays
Shift time: 6:00AM to 4:00PM (End time may vary due to freight/volume, weather conditions and traffic delays etc...)
Overtime paid after 9 hours of work.
Overtime: based on freight volume and delays ie. weather, mechanical etc.
What you will do:
- Drive a 3 ton Refrigerated Truck to deliver freights to assigned stops in Windsor area
- Pick-up and Deliver of freights in good condition, within a scheduled time (30 to 40 deliveries daily)
- Daily Pick ups of empties and up to 5 other pickups per/day
- Load and Unload freight in proper sequence with the use of a manual pump truck (lift 60lbs)
- Use a handheld device to scan documents and freights
- Complete any necessary paperwork accurately
- Perform all safety checks, including pre-trip and post-trip inspection
- Report on all safety hazards and accidents
- Use a cellular phone to communicate with dispatch ie. Truck breakdowns, delivery concerns, answer calls, texts etc….
- Provide excellent customer service
- Build strong client relationships
- Adhere to safety and compliance regulations
- Additional duties as required

What we require of you:
- High School Diploma
- Valid G Class Driver’s License
- Clean CVOR and Personal Driver’s Abstract
- Courier or LTL experience is an asset
- Must have 2 year COMMERCIAL TRUCK DRIVING experience on the road
- This shift is a10 hour workday with start times from 6:00AM to 4:00PM. Overtime will be paid.
- At times capable of doing physical labour with a great degree of strength and stamina to load and unload – Lift or carry up to 60lbs, hand bomb, dolley and or use a manual pump truck
- Excellent communication and problem solving skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy in paperwork
- Customer Focus – experience providing quality customer service
- Adaptable to change
- Experience working in a fast paced environment
- Experience working independently and with minimal supervision
- Ability to work on a team and being a team player
