Full-Time Loading Dock Supervisor
Monday to Friday – 3:30PM start time

We are looking for a highly organized Loading Dock Supervisor who thrives in a fast-paced environment to join our Operations team at our Coquitlam Terminal. The successful candidate will be responsible for the planning and oversight of freight loading for our Coquitlam outbound linehaul schedules.
What You’ll Do:
- Oversee, plan, coordinate, monitor and participate in daily cross-docking and outbound loading activities; ensuring shipments are processed efficiently, accurately and reliably.
- Support Warehouse Workers in their efforts to manage compliance with all freight-handling best practices; quality control.
- Plan, and adjust staffing levels and leave requests to meet daily operational requirements within the warehouse
- Liaise with Dispatch, Line-haul, and Manifest to meet service, QC and schedule requirements.
- Strive for excellence in service to customers, both external and internal and external, addressing inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Identify errors and root causes, recommending corrective action and procedural improvements within scope of responsibility.
Who You Are:
- Successful completion of Grade 12, with a minimum of five (5) years’ progressively responsible warehouse and supervisory experience; or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
- Strong knowledge of the Transportation LTL Industry experience.
- Strong knowledge of LTL freight-handling requirements.
- Experience with a Transportation Management System (TMS) preferred.
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office suite of programs
- Proven ability to effectively lead, manage and develop others.
- Ability to effectively plan and organize self and others to achieve goals, prioritize tasks, and allocate time and resources accordingly to ensure completion within set timelines
- Can maintain stable performance under pressure and/or adversity
- Customer focused individual who takes responsibility for internal and external customer satisfaction with a collaborative, problem-solving approach
