Interior DesignerOverview
We are seeking a talented and creative Interior Designer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for interior design, excellent visual and spatial-planning skills, and the ability to translate client ideas into functional and inspiring spaces.
The successful candidate will work closely with clients, architects, contractors, and suppliers throughout the design and construction process. This role requires strong technical abilities, attention to detail, creativity, excellent communication skills, and the ability to communicate in English, Hindi, and Punjabi.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive interior-design concepts based on client needs, budgets, and project requirements.
- Create accurate floor plans, elevations, millwork drawings, and spatial layouts.
- Produce high-quality 3D models and photorealistic renderings using SketchUp and V-Ray.
- Use Mozaik Software to design cabinetry, kitchens, closets, built-in furniture, and custom millwork.
- Prepare mood boards, material palettes, presentation boards, and client-facing design packages.
- Recommend appropriate colours, finishes, materials, furniture, fixtures, and lighting.
- Present design concepts clearly and professionally to clients.
- Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, suppliers, and team members in English, Hindi, and Punjabi.
- Revise designs based on client feedback, site conditions, and technical requirements.
- Coordinate with contractors, tradespeople, suppliers, and other project stakeholders.
- Assist with project budgeting, scheduling, sourcing, and construction coordination.
- Conduct site measurements and verify that designs meet project specifications.
- Stay informed about current interior-design trends, materials, products, and technologies.
- Maintain organized project files, drawings, specifications, and documentation.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Proven experience in interior design, kitchen and cabinetry design, millwork design, or a related field.
- Strong proficiency in SketchUp, V-Ray, and Mozaik Software is required.
- Strong understanding of space planning, colour theory, materials, lighting, furniture, and construction details.
- Ability to produce professional floor plans, elevations, 3D models, and realistic renderings.
- Knowledge of cabinetry, custom millwork, construction methods, and renovation processes is preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Fluency in English, Hindi, and Punjabi is required.
- Strong client-service and presentation abilities.
- Excellent organizational, time-management, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Pay: $18.00-$22.00 per hour
