Big Cheese Pizza in Flesherton is looking to fill several positions, including part time and full time positions. Availability should include both 11am-4:00pm and 4:00pm-8:00pm, as well as weekends.. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and a strong understanding of kitchen operations. As a Prep Cook, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our kitchen runs smoothly by preparing ingredients, maintaining food safety standards, and supporting the cooking staff in delivering high-quality meals. Duties include running the front cash, serving customers, preparing pizza toppings, cheese, dough and salad from scratch as well as making/baking pizzas. Dishes and other duties as needed. Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients and assist with meal preparation according to established recipes and standards
- Cook and assemble food items efficiently while maintaining quality and presentation
- Handle food safely, adhering to proper hygiene and sanitation protocols
- Serve customers at the store front, taking orders accurately and providing friendly service
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen, prep areas, and front counter throughout shifts
- Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth operation during busy hours
- Follow all food safety guidelines and health regulations to ensure a safe dining environment
- Assist with inventory management and storage of ingredients and supplies
Experience
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or kitchen environments is preferred but not required
- Familiarity with food handling, meal preparation, and cooking techniques is advantageous
- Experience in customer service or serving roles will be beneficial for interacting with guests effectively
- Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation practices is a plus
- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment with excellent communication skills

Pay: $17.20-$22.00 per hour
