We invite a passionate and dedicated educator to join the team at Morrin School as a full-time Junior High and Senior High Teacher in our vibrant and welcoming rural school community, located just 20 minutes north of Drumheller. This position will primarily involve teaching Humanities courses, with a strong emphasis on English Language Arts, while also supporting complementary option classes and additional subject areas as needed, including Social Studies and other options within the school program.
This is a full time probationary teaching assignment to commence on the first day of the 2026-2027 school year. This role offers a meaningful opportunity to work with students in Grades 7–12 during a pivotal stage of their academic and personal development, where curiosity, growing independence, and a readiness to engage more deeply with ideas and the world are at the forefront. The successful candidate will foster critical thinking, build strong and respectful relationships, and create an inclusive and supportive classroom environment where students feel valued, challenged, and encouraged to succeed.
The ideal candidate is a positive, collaborative educator who is energized by working with adolescents and is committed to supporting both academic achievement and personal growth. Responsibilities include designing and delivering engaging learning experiences aligned with the Alberta curriculum, supporting literacy and inquiry development, and contributing positively to a caring, community-focused school culture grounded in connection, character, and opportunity across English Language Arts, Social Studies, and option subjects.
