Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Truck Driver - Class 1 to join our transportation team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating commercial trucks to transport freight across various routes, ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining compliance with all safety regulations. This role offers an opportunity to work with a dynamic team in a fast-paced environment, contributing to the efficient movement of goods and supporting the company's logistics operations.
Duties
- Safely operate Class 1 commercial trucks for local and long-haul freight deliveries.
- Load and unload freight using forklift or other heavy equipment as needed.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance.
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs in accordance with company policies.
- Perform minor automotive repairs and troubleshooting when necessary to ensure vehicle readiness.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety procedures, and company policies during operations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, warehouse staff, and clients regarding delivery schedules and issues.
- Assist with the operation of heavy equipment when required, ensuring proper handling and safety protocols are followed.
Qualifications
- Valid Class 1 Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
- Proven experience in commercial driving, freight transportation, or related field.
- Knowledge of forklift operation, heavy equipment handling, and automotive repair is preferred.
- Ability to operate heavy machinery safely and efficiently.
- Strong understanding of safety regulations and compliance standards for commercial drivers.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Physical ability to load/unload freight, lift heavy objects, and perform vehicle inspections.
- Prior experience with automotive repair or troubleshooting is a plus but not mandatory. This position offers a vital role in our logistics operations, requiring dedication to safety, efficiency, and professionalism at all times.
Pay: From $8,000.00 per month
