Duties
- Read and interpret detailed blueprints, schematics, and installation instructions to ensure accurate cabinet placement.
- Measure spaces precisely, mark locations, and prepare surfaces for installation using hand tools and power tools.
- Install kitchen cabinets securely, aligning doors, drawers, and hardware for optimal functionality.
- Use caulking, sealing techniques, and finishing touches to ensure a polished appearance and proper fit.
- Assist with related tasks such as flooring installation, tile laying, or minor plumbing/electrical adjustments as needed.
- Operate heavy lifting equipment safely to move cabinets and materials into position without damage.
- Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools, disposing of debris, and adhering to safety protocols throughout the project.
Experience
- Proven experience in cabinet installation or related carpentry work within residential or commercial construction settings.
- Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, and construction drawings.
- Skilled in using hand tools (e.g., screwdrivers, hammers), power tools (e.g., drills, saws), and measuring devices.
- Familiarity with construction painting, masonry, rebar installation, roofing, siding, or concrete forming is a plus.
- Experience with woodworking, cabinetry assembly, flooring installation, tile laying or plumbing/electrical work is highly desirable.
- Ability to lift heavy materials safely and work effectively in physically demanding environments.
- Knowledge of construction estimating processes and schematics interpretation will be advantageous for project planning.
