As our Hardlines Manager, you'll oversee departments including Tools, Hardware, Electrical, Plumbing, Building Materials, Housewares, Seasonal, Sporting Goods, Automotive, and other hardlines categories. You'll play a key role in merchandising, inventory management, customer service, and operational excellence.
What You'll Do
- Lead, coach, and inspire a team to achieve sales and customer service goals.
- Create an engaging shopping experience through effective merchandising and product presentation.
- Monitor sales performance and identify opportunities to grow revenue.
- Manage inventory levels, replenishment, and stock accuracy to maximize product availability.
- Coordinate purchasing activities and work with vendors to ensure the right products are available at the right time.
- Execute promotional events, seasonal merchandising, and pricing strategies.
- Ensure efficient daily store operations, including POS systems, cash handling, and departmental procedures.
- Maintain high standards of safety, cleanliness, and organization throughout the department.
- Resolve customer concerns professionally while creating positive shopping experiences.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), prepare reports, and support budgeting and sales forecasting.
- Recruit, train, coach, and develop team members to support their growth and success.
- Collaborate with other department leaders to achieve overall store objectives.
What You'll Bring
- 3+ years of retail leadership or management experience, preferably in Hardlines, Home Improvement, Hardware, or General Merchandise.
- Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop high-performing teams.
- Strong merchandising and inventory management experience.
- Knowledge of retail operations, including POS systems, cash management, and inventory control.
- Experience with sales planning, budgeting, and achieving performance targets.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Ability to analyze business performance and make data-driven decisions.
- Experience working with vendors and negotiating purchasing opportunities is considered an asset.

Pay: $70,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
