Responsibilities
- Assist in planning and implementing recreational programs and activities tailored to diverse age groups and interests.
- Support participants during activities, ensuring safety and engagement.
- Set up equipment and materials needed for various recreational events.
- Monitor activity areas to maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment.
- Encourage participation and foster a positive atmosphere among community members.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing questions or concerns from participants and visitors.
- Collaborate with team members to evaluate program effectiveness and suggest improvements.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance and activity participation.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; relevant experience in recreation or community services is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage with individuals of all ages.
- Friendly, approachable demeanor with strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Basic knowledge of recreational activities, games, or sports is desirable.
- Must be reliable, responsible, and committed to creating an inclusive environment.
- Prior experience working with diverse populations or in a community setting is beneficial but not required.
