Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Woodworker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in carpentry, woodworking, and construction-related skills, with the ability to interpret blueprints and schematics. This role involves creating, repairing, and restoring wood structures and components for various projects, ensuring high-quality craftsmanship and adherence to safety standards. The Woodworker will collaborate with project managers, contractors, and clients to deliver exceptional results on time and within specifications.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to determine project requirements
- Measure, cut, shape, and assemble wood materials using hand tools, power tools, CNC machines, and other woodworking equipment
- Perform tasks related to cabinetry installation, restoration projects, flooring installation, tile laying, siding, roofing, and rebar installation as needed
- Assist with concrete forming and masonry work when required
- Install doors, windows, cabinets, and other wood fixtures with precision
- Conduct finishing work such as sanding, staining, painting, caulking, and sealing to achieve desired aesthetic results
- Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and quality standards
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace; operate machinery safely and efficiently
- Collaborate with team members on project timelines and estimates for construction projects
Skills
- Proficiency in blueprint reading and understanding schematics for various construction projects
- Experience with concrete forming, masonry, rebar installation, roofing, siding, and restoration work
- Skilled in cabinet installation, flooring installation (including tile laying), construction painting, caulking, and general carpentry
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools (including CNC machines), and specialized woodworking equipment safely
- Knowledge of construction estimating processes and project planning
- Familiarity with plumbing and electrical systems as they relate to woodworking projects is a plus
- Strong heavy lifting capabilities for handling materials safely during assembly or installation tasks
- Handyman experience is advantageous for versatile project support
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to read schematics accurately
- Effective communication skills for collaborating with team members and clients
