Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our vibrant culinary team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting the chefs in a fast-paced restaurant environment. This role requires a passion for food, excellent food handling skills, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. As a Line Cook, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional dining experiences to our guests.
Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items according to standardized recipes and presentation standards
- Assist with food preparation, including chopping, marinating, and portioning ingredients
- Ensure all food is cooked to the correct temperature and presented attractively
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including equipment and workstations
- Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure safety and sanitation compliance
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during busy hours
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate needs for restocking ingredients and supplies
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations related to food service and food safety standards
Qualifications
- Proven experience in serving, food preparation, or cooking within a restaurant or food service environment
- Knowledge of food handling, safety procedures, and sanitation standards in the food industry
- Experience with meal preparation and kitchen operations preferred
- Strong understanding of restaurant service flow and customer service principles
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced setting
- Excellent communication skills and teamwork orientation
- Prior kitchen experience of a minimum of 1 year.
