Every day, our team is spread across Edmonton, St. Albert, Sherwood Park, and Ardrossan caring for dogs, cats, and the people who love them. We're looking for a Team Lead to help support our staff, keep operations running smoothly, and ensure pets continue receiving the high standard of care we're known for.
This is a hybrid leadership role that combines operations, staff support, and hands-on pet care. Part of your week will be spent working remotely supporting the team, managing daily operations, and solving problems as they arise. The remainder of your week will be spent in the field working with dogs, clients, and training staff.
As a Team Lead, you'll be one of the people staff turn to when they need support, guidance, or help solving a problem. You'll play a key role in supporting daily operations while helping ensure our clients and pets continue receiving exceptional care.
This role works best for someone who enjoys balancing leadership responsibilities with hands-on work. You're comfortable making decisions independently, supporting staff through challenges, communicating professionally with clients, and adjusting plans when schedules inevitably change.
What You'll Be Doing
- Supporting staff throughout the day via Slack, phone, and our scheduling software
- Helping solve scheduling challenges, callouts, and last-minute coverage needs
- Assisting with staff training, mentoring, and development Reviewing service reports and ensuring client instructions are followed
- Communicating with clients through phone, email, and messaging Completing consultations and first visits with new clients when required
- Covering walks, jogs, and pet care services when needed
- Helping improve systems and processes that make life easier for both clients and staff
- Participating in leadership discussions and helping support the overall success of the team
