Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Excavator Operator to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating heavy equipment, mainly excavators and skid steers. The Excavator Operator will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient completion of construction tasks, utilizing their mechanical knowledge and expertise in heavy equipment operation. Candidates should possess a strong understanding of Caterpillar machinery and be capable of working in a fast-paced construction environment.
Responsibilities
- Operate excavators safely and efficiently across multiple construction sites, including tasks such as digging, trenching, and material handling
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal functioning
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a secure work environment
- Collaborate with team members to coordinate tasks and meet project deadlines
- Maintain accurate records of equipment usage and work performed
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating excavators
- Mechanical knowledge related to heavy equipment maintenance and troubleshooting
- valid drivers license and vehicle
- Strong understanding of safety standards in heavy equipment operation
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and lift heavy loads as needed
