Cohen & Master Tree Services is seeking a motivated and hardworking individual to join our Soils, Roots &
Planting (SRP) team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working outdoors and is
interested in arboriculture, tree health, and team based production. The successful candidate will work
alongside experienced arborists on a variety of specialized tree care and planting projects.
- Planting trees, from large calliper trees to small shrubs and ornamental plants.
- Performing soil improvement and soil amendment work to promote tree and plant health.
- Applying fertilizers and other approved soil treatments.
- Operating specialized arboricultural equipment, including an AirSpade®, for soil excavation and soil de-compaction.
- Assisting consulting arborists with root exploration, root investigations, and root pruning projects.
- Pruning trees and shrubs in accordance with industry best practices.
- Maintaining a safe, organized, and professional work environment.
- Assisting with other arboricultural-related duties as required.
- Experience working outdoors is considered an asset.
- Previous landscaping or horticultural experience is an asset.
- Tree and shrub planting experience is preferred.
- Experience with pruning is an asset.
- A strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn.
- Ability to perform physically demanding work in various weather conditions.
- A valid Ontario G driver's licence with a clean driver's abstract is considered a strong asset.
- Competitive wages of $21.00 to $25.00 per hour, based on experience.
