We are seeking a friendly and motivated Retail Sales Associate to join our dynamic team in Waterton Lakes National Park.
-We are looking for someone that can work 2 - 3 days Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
- Start June 1st and ends August 30th, potentially September 30th if needed.
In this role, you will be the face of our store, providing exceptional customer service and assisting customers with their purchasing needs. The ideal candidate is personable, organized, and possesses excellent communication skills, with a passion for retail sales. This position offers an engaging environment where you can develop your sales skills and grow within the company.
Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in finding products that meet their needs
- Conduct product demonstrations to showcase features and benefits of various items
- Provide knowledgeable advice on merchandise, including products and accessories
- Handle point-of-sale transactions accurately using POS systems, including cash handling and credit card processing
- Upsell additional products or services to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales
- Maintain organized merchandising displays and ensure the store is clean and inviting
- Manage inventory levels, restock shelves, and assist with stock organization
- Address customer inquiries via phone or in person with professionalism and courtesy
- Support promotional activities and participate in merchandising strategies to attract customers
- Ensure compliance with store policies regarding cash handling, security, and customer privacy
Experience
- Prior experience in retail sales or customer service is preferred but not required; training will be provided
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a retail setting
