Duties
- Install, test, and commission fire alarm systems in accordance with project specifications and local codes
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on fire alarm panels, sensors, and related devices
- Troubleshoot system issues using schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals to identify faults quickly and accurately
- Read blueprints and construction drawings to ensure proper placement and integration of fire alarm components
- Repair or replace defective sensors, wiring, power supplies, or control panels using hand tools and power tools
- Document all service activities thoroughly in reports and logs for compliance and quality assurance purposes
- Collaborate with construction teams during new builds or renovations to ensure seamless integration of fire alarm systems
Requirements/Skills
- Fully licensed CFAA member with a minimum of 3years experience.
- Strong ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams with precision
- Experience in low voltage wiring and circuitry understanding
- Mechanical knowledge to handle installation hardware, sensors, and mechanical components effectively
- Proficiency with hand tools and power tools necessary for installation and repairs
- Familiarity with construction processes and working within building sites or industrial environments
- Knowledge of sensors, detectors, control panels, and system integration techniques
- Ability to interpret schematics accurately for troubleshooting complex electrical or mechanical issues
