Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Part-time K-12 Math Tutor to support students in developing their mathematical skills and confidence. This role involves providing personalized tutoring sessions to help students understand core concepts, improve problem-solving abilities, and succeed academically. The ideal candidate will have a passion for education, strong math knowledge, and experience working with children in a tutoring or classroom setting.
Duties
- Conduct one-on-one or small group tutoring sessions focused on K-12 math curriculum.
- Assess students’ current understanding and tailor lessons to meet individual learning needs.
- Explain mathematical concepts clearly using engaging teaching methods and visual aids.
- Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to encourage improvement.
- Utilize computer skills to incorporate educational software and online resources into lessons.
- Maintain a positive and supportive learning environment that fosters student confidence.
- Collaborate with parents, teachers, and school staff to support student success.
- Prepare lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards and student goals.
Experience
- Prior experience working with children, preferably in tutoring or classroom environments.
- Strong background in mathematics, including algebra, geometry, and other K-12 levels.
- Teaching experience is a plus, especially in special education or inclusive classrooms.
- Familiarity with educational technology and computer-based learning tools.
- Knowledge of classroom management techniques and differentiated instruction strategies.

Pay: $25.00-$50.00 per hour
