Job Summary
We are seeking a vigilant and dependable Security Guard to protect our premises, assets, and personnel. The ideal candidate will ensure safety through proactive surveillance, loss prevention measures, and effective response to security incidents. This role requires a strong sense of responsibility, excellent observation skills, and the ability to operate surveillance equipment effectively. The Security Guard will serve as the first line of defense in maintaining a secure environment for all visitors and staff.
Duties
- Monitor security cameras (CCTV) and surveillance systems to detect suspicious activities or security breaches.
- Conduct regular patrols of the premises to ensure safety and security standards are maintained.
- Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, or emergencies, including potential security threats or safety hazards.
- Enforce access control procedures by verifying identification and authorizations of visitors and staff.
- Document incidents accurately through detailed reports and maintain logs of daily activities.
- Assist in loss prevention efforts by identifying theft or vandalism and taking appropriate action.
- Collaborate with law enforcement or emergency services when necessary to resolve security issues.
- Maintain a professional presence at all times, providing excellent customer service when interacting with visitors or staff.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in law enforcement, security, or related fields is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of surveillance techniques and CCTV operation is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of loss prevention strategies and security protocols.
- Excellent observational skills with keen attention to detail.
- Ability to remain calm and composed during stressful situations.
- Good communication skills for reporting incidents clearly and effectively.
- Must be reliable, responsible, and able to work flexible hours including night shifts if needed.
