About Stride Psychology
Stride Psychology is a growing private psychology practice in Calgary, Alberta. We provide psychoeducational, ADHD, autism, gifted, and social-emotional assessments for children, adolescents, and adults. We are looking for a part-time Psychometrist to support our assessment team with standardized test administration, scoring, and related assessment tasks.
Position Overview
The Psychometrist will work under the supervision of Registered Psychologists and will assist with the administration, scoring, and organization of psychological and educational assessment measures. This role is well-suited for someone who is detail-oriented, organized, professional, and comfortable working with children, adolescents, and adults in a clinical assessment setting.
Responsibilities
Administer standardized cognitive, academic, developmental, attention, executive functioning, and social-emotional assessment measures under the supervision of a Registered Psychologist.
Accurately collect and record assessment data, complete scoring, and ensure testing protocols are completed appropriately.
Prepare assessment materials and support the organization of client files.
Assist with preparing report sections, such as background information and behavioural observations, where appropriate.
Maintain confidentiality and follow clinic policies, ethical standards, and privacy requirements.
Communicate professionally with clients, families, psychologists, and administrative staff.
Collaborate with the assessment team to ensure assessments are completed smoothly and efficiently.
Required Qualifications
Completion of a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from an accredited university.
Minimum 2–3 years of experience administering standardized assessments with children and adolescents across cognitive, developmental, achievement, attention, executive functioning, and/or social-emotional domains.
Proficiency in administering and scoring a range of standardized assessment measures.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy with scoring, documentation, and assessment protocols.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple assessment-related tasks independently.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively and professionally within a clinical team.
Commitment to family-centred, trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and neurodiversity-affirming practice.
Additional Required Qualifications
Experience administering and scoring measures such as the WISC-V, WAIS-IV/WAIS-V, WIAT, Conners, BASC, ABAS, Vineland, or similar assessment tools.
Familiarity with digital scoring and reporting platforms, such as Q-global, PARiConnect, WPS, MHS, and/or Novopsych.
Demonstrated ability to accurately follow standardized administration procedures.
Ability to work independently while following supervision, feedback, and clinic procedures.
Professionalism, reliability, and strong communication with clients, families, and team members.
Saturday availability is preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelors-level training in Psychology
Experience in private practice, school, pediatric healthcare, or child development settings.
Experience supporting neurodivergent children and adolescents, including individuals with ADHD, autism, learning differences, intellectual/developmental concerns, and/or behavioural challenges.
Familiarity with administering psychological assessments digitally using Q-interactive.
Demonstrated adaptability, emotional intelligence, and a collaborative approach to team-based care.
