About the Role
Ace Lange Homes is seeking a motivated Site Assistant to support our construction team on custom residential building projects. This position is ideal for someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys being active, and wants to build a long-term career in residential construction.
The Site Assistant plays a key role in keeping our projects organized, clean, safe, and running efficiently. This is more than a labour position—we are looking for someone who is dependable, detail-oriented, and interested in learning all aspects of the homebuilding process.
Responsibilities
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe job sites
- Assist Site Supervisors with daily construction activities
- Perform material deliveries and site organization
- Assist trades and crews as required
- Complete deficiency corrections and touch-up work
- Install site protection and maintain construction signage
- Monitor material inventory and report shortages
- Photograph site progress and document deficiencies
- Conduct quality control checks and report concerns
- Coordinate waste removal and recycling activities
- Assist with homeowner possession and turnover preparations
- Perform basic carpentry and general construction tasks
- Operate hand and power tools safely
Qualifications
- Previous construction experience is considered an asset
- Valid Class 5 Driver's License
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Reliable and punctual
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Basic knowledge of residential construction is an asset
- Safety-minded with attention to detail
