Job Overview
We are a growing counselling clinic looking for a reliable and flexible casual administrative assistant to support our team when additional coverage is needed. This role is ideal for a university student interested in psychology, counselling, or mental health, who has a flexible schedule and can step in when our regular administrative staff are unavailable.
This is not a role with guaranteed weekly hours. Instead, you would be contacted when support is needed (for example: sick coverage, holidays, or busy periods).
Responsibilities
- Responding to client emails and inquiries
- Answering clinic phone calls and voicemails
- Assisting therapists with booking appointments
- Processing and assisting with insurance direct billing
- Managing administrative tasks in the Jane App
- Supporting billing and basic clinic administration
- Creating social media or Instagram posts
- Ensuring a friendly, professional, and supportive experience for clients
Ideal Candidate
- A current university student, preferably in psychology, counselling, social work, or a related field
- Has a flexible schedule and is able to occasionally work on short notice
- Strong written communication and customer service skills
- Organized, detail-oriented, and professional
- Comfortable working remotely and independently
Preferred (but not required)
- Experience with Jane App
- Experience with Telus or insurance direct billing
- Previous administrative or front desk experience
- Interest in the mental health or counselling field
