Job Description
We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced individual to join our team as a Subcontractor Painter. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in residential and commercial painting, be detail-oriented, and committed to delivering high-quality results.
Compensation: $50,000 - $100,000 annually based on piecework

Collaboration:
- Work closely with project managers and other trades to deliver timely and high-quality painting work
- Communicate with clients in English to understand their needs and ensure satisfaction
Responsibilities:
- Surface preparation including sanding, filling, patching, caulking, and priming
- Applying paint, stain, varnish, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment
- Protecting surrounding areas using drop cloths and masking techniques
- Mixing and matching paint colors as needed
- Performing touch-ups and final detailing to ensure a clean, professional finish
- Following site safety guidelines and using personal protective equipment
- Cleaning tools, equipment, and work areas after each project
- Working from ladders or scaffolding when required
- Adhering to project deadlines and quality standards
- Taking direction from the project manager and updating on progress
Qualifications:
- Must speak English fluently to communicate on-site and with clients
- Must have own vehicle, tools, and painting equipment
- Minimum 5 years of painting experience with verifiable references
- Must carry valid Liability Insurance and WSIB coverage
- Must pass a criminal background check
- Strong knowledge of painting tools, materials, and application methods
- Ability to work independently and follow instructions
- Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented
- Comfortable using a smartphone and basic apps for job dispatch and updates
- Must maintain a clean and professional appearance
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Driver’s license required
