Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented General Labourer/Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team. This role involves operating various machinery, performing assembly and fabrication tasks, and ensuring quality standards are met. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude, proficiency with manufacturing tools, and the ability to read blueprints and technical drawings. Duties
- Operate CNC machines including CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, and press brake machines, utilizing programming skills such as CNC programming and CAD design.
- Set up and adjust machinery using tools such as calipers, hand tools, and other precision measurement instruments to ensure accurate production.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and manufacturing specifications to produce parts that meet quality standards.
- Perform welding tasks as needed for assembly or repair projects.
- Use programmable logic controllers (PLCs) like Fanuc systems for machine operation and troubleshooting.
- Manage material handling with equipment such as forklifts and ensure proper packaging of finished products.
- Conduct quality control inspections throughout the manufacturing process to identify defects or deviations from specifications.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with safety protocols.
- Assist in warehouse operations including inventory management and order fulfillment.
- Support assembly processes using mechanical knowledge, hand tools, and basic math skills to complete tasks efficiently.
Skills
- Proficiency with CNC programming, CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, and CAD software such as SolidWorks.
- Experience operating Fanuc systems and programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
- Ability to operate forklift trucks safely within a manufacturing environment.
- Skilled in welding techniques and blueprint reading for precise fabrication work.
- Mechanical knowledge related to machining processes, press brake operations, and assembly procedures.
- Familiarity with quality control standards and inspection tools like calipers.
- Experience with manufacturing workflows, machining operations, packaging, and warehouse logistics.
- Competence in using hand tools and basic math for measurements and calculations.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols in industrial settings including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE). This position is ideal for candidates with a background in manufacturing or machining who are eager to develop their skills further within a collaborative team environment.
Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
