Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Roll Forming Machine Operator (Metal) to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining roll forming machines that shape metal into precise components used across various industries. Your expertise will help ensure the production of high-quality metal products, adhering to safety standards and quality specifications. Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and monitor roll forming machines to produce metal profiles according to technical drawings and specifications
- Adjust machine settings and tooling to achieve desired dimensions and surface finishes, ensuring precision and consistency
- Conduct routine inspections of finished parts using calipers, blueprint reading, and quality inspection tools to verify adherence to quality standards
- Perform maintenance on machinery, including cleaning, lubrication, and troubleshooting mechanical issues to minimize downtime
- Collaborate with team members on assembly processes involving metal components and ensure seamless workflow integration
- Utilize CNC laser cutting, plasma cutting, CNC programming, CNC milling machines, CNC lathe, and press brake machines as needed for auxiliary manufacturing tasks
- Operate hand tools safely during setup or minor repairs while maintaining a clean and organized work area
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating roll forming machines or similar metal fabrication equipment in a manufacturing setting
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read blueprints and interpret technical drawings accurately
- Familiarity with CNC machinery including CNC laser cutting, CNC programming, CNC milling machines, CNC lathe, and plasma cutting is highly desirable
- Competence in welding techniques and basic math skills for measurements and calculations
- Ability to use measuring tools such as calipers effectively for quality inspection purposes
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to crane operation, forklift handling, and machine operation in a manufacturing environment
- Hands-on experience with hand tools, quality inspection processes, machining operations, and assembly tasks is preferred
