Job Summary
The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality and a commitment to providing exceptional service to our guests. As a Server, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our customers enjoy their dining experience from the moment they arrive until they leave.
Responsibilities
- Provide an exceptional guest experience by delivering professional and friendly service.
- Possess in-depth knowledge of the menu, wine, and cocktails to make recommendations and upsell when appropriate.
- Ensure the accuracy of orders and timely delivery of food and beverages.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area.
- Handle guest inquiries and resolve complaints promptly and professionally.
- Process payments and maintain accurate transaction records. Greet and seat guests promptly with a warm and friendly demeanor.
- Take accurate food and drink orders using the POS system, ensuring all requests are noted.
- Provide detailed menu information, including daily specials, and make recommendations to enhance guest satisfaction through upselling techniques.
- Serve food items as needed, adhering to food safety and handling standards.
- Collaborate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and address any customer concerns regarding their meals.
Qualifications
- Minimum 1-2 years of serving experience in a high-volume or upscale dining environment.
- Strong knowledge of food, wine, and cocktails; certification in wine or beverage studies is an asset.
- ProServe Certification is required
- Strong multitasking skills and the ability to thrive under pressure.
- A team player with a positive attitude and commitment to excellence.
- Strong math skills for handling transactions and managing tips effectively.
- Familiarity with POS systems is an asset, as well as experience in upselling menu items.
- Excellent communication skills with a friendly and approachable attitude toward guests and team members.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
