3rd YEAR APPRENTICE WELDER-A/B SHIFT – BROOKS, AB
With approximately 3,300 employees, JBS Food Canada ULC (“JBS Canada”) is one of Canada's largest beef processors. Consisting of four locations—the main processing facility located in Brooks, Alberta, where approximately 4,200 head of cattle are harvested and processed daily; the Head Office and a case ready plant, both based in Calgary, Alberta; and JBS Ontario, a case ready plant located in Belleville, Ontario. JBS Ontario in Belleville produces fresh meat and seafood products for leading retailers in Canada.

NOTE: This role will be located in Brooks, AB
Relocation Assistance Available
You will:
- Read and interpret blueprints or welding process specifications
- Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fuse metal segments using processes such as gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW), gas metal arc welding (GMAW), flux-cored arc welding (FCAW), plasma arc welding (PAW), shielded metal arc welding (SMAW), oxy-acetylene welding (OAW), resistance welding and submerged arc welding (SAW)
- Operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment
- Operate brazing and soldering equipment
- Operate metal shaping machines such as brakes, shears and other metal straightening and bending machines
- Repair worn parts of metal products by welding on extra layers.
You have:
- At least 1 year of experience as a welder apprentice, required
- Must be registered as an Apprentice in Alberta
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize workload and effectively meet deadlines;
- Ability to work independently and in a multifunctional team with minimum supervision
Work Site Environment: Noisy, Odours, Hot, Cold/refrigerated.
Earn Competitive Wage:$39.63 -$40.76
