Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Deck Builder / Carpenter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in carpentry, construction, and related trades, with the ability to interpret blueprints and schematics. This role involves building, installing, and repairing decks, as well as supporting various projects that require precision, craftsmanship, and safety awareness. The position offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects, utilizing a wide range of skills including framing, finishing, and specialized carpentry tasks.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to accurately execute project specifications.
- Construct and install decks, ensuring structural integrity and aesthetic appeal.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment safely and efficiently to complete tasks.
- Perform concrete forming, finishing, and masonry work as needed for foundation support.
- Install cabinetry, flooring, tile, and other interior or exterior elements related to deck projects.
- Operate heavy machinery when required for material handling.
- Measure and estimate materials needed for projects using construction estimating techniques.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure safety standards are maintained on-site.
Requirements
- Proven experience in carpentry, deck building, or general construction roles.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings accurately.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment operation.
- Familiarity with construction estimating processes is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to safety standards on job sites.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in various weather conditions.
- Valid license or relevant certifications preferred but not mandatory depending on project requirements. This role is vital for delivering high-quality outdoor structures that meet client expectations while adhering to safety protocols and project timelines.
Pay: $19.00-$40.00 per hour
