Summary
We are seeking a Long Haul Driver to join our dedicated team in Stony Plain. In this role, you will be responsible for safely transporting oversized freight across various destinations, contributing to our mission of delivering reliable and efficient logistics solutions.
Responsibilities
- Operate heavy-duty trucks to transport oversized loads safely across long distances.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies during transit.
- Perform pre-trip inspections and routine maintenance checks on vehicles.
- Coordinate with dispatchers to plan optimal routes and delivery schedules.
- Handle loading and unloading of freight using forklifts or other heavy equipment when necessary.
- Maintain accurate documentation of deliveries, logs, and vehicle maintenance.
- Communicate effectively with clients and team members to ensure smooth operations.
- Qualifications
- Proven Winch and off road experience
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements.
- Proven experience operating heavy trucks for long-distance hauling.
- Knowledge of safety regulations related to oversized load transportation.
- Ability to operate forklifts and heavy equipment as needed.
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
- Experience with automotive repair is a plus but not mandatory.
- Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.
