Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and attentive Server to join our dynamic restaurant team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional guest service, ensure food safety and sanitation standards are met, and create a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons. This role involves taking orders, serving food and beverages, and maintaining a clean and organized dining area. Previous restaurant experience and familiarity with food industry standards are preferred but not required. The Server will play a vital role in delivering memorable dining experiences through excellent customer service and efficient service skills.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, friendly service throughout their visit
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Micros POS
- Serve food and drinks promptly while ensuring presentation quality
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cashiering and cash handling duties
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in dining areas, including table setup and breakdown
- Assist in food preparation or kitchen tasks as needed to support smooth operations
- Ensure food safety protocols are followed during food handling and serving
- Manage time effectively to serve multiple tables efficiently during busy periods
- Address guest inquiries or concerns promptly to ensure satisfaction
Skills
- Proficiency with POS systems, especially Micros POS, for order entry and cashiering
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on hospitality and guest relations
- Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling procedures
- Experience in food service or restaurant environments is highly desirable
- Ability to multitask effectively with excellent time management skills
- Basic math skills for bill calculation, change handling, and order accuracy
- Familiarity with food industry standards including serving, upselling, and food preparation basics
- Excellent communication skills to interact clearly with guests and team members
- Kitchen experience or knowledge of food industry operations is a plus
